What is EquipU?

EquipU is Shenandoah's Bible Institute. This concentrated Bible study program meets for fall, winter and spring semesters each year. Students can choose between a 4-year or 5-year program.

The Program

EquipU offers ten core courses, which all students take over the course of their program. We also offer a variety of elective courses. Four-year students choose two electives, and five-year students choose five electives.

Classes are subject to change or be exchanged with new classes at the pastors' discretion.

Completing a Course
To receive credit for completing a course, students should attend (or make up online) 7 of 8 class sessions each semester and submit a paper or final project for their course.

Practicum
A practicum is simply “a practical section of a course of study.”  In addition to the core and elective classes, each student will observe various aspects of the ministry over the course of their 4- or 5-year program, submitting practicum reports for each area observed.  A pastoral advisor will guide each student through the process as they observe...

What if I don't want to register for a full program? Can I still be involved?

Absolutely! Classes are open to auditors, and anyone can join a class without registering for the full program.

What if I can't make it on Wednesday nights?

No worries! Most of our classes are available online. Audio and notes from the most recent session will be uploaded on Thursdays and are available on the church website.

What if I've already completed the program? What's next?
